GrappleCity is hitting the road in 2026 with an electrifying tour across Europe, bringing high-level jiu jitsu competition to some of the continent’s biggest cities. This tour will showcase elite talent, test the grit of rising athletes, and deliver action-packed events for athletes. More than just matches, GrappleCity is building a movement—challenging athletes to step onto the mats, sharpen their skills, and push beyond limits. The format is double elimination with a separate consolation bronze medal bracket for competitors who lose any match before reaching the final.
In other words, competitors are guaranteed a minimum of 2x matches (for divisions which have 3 or more people) & can have 4+ matches per division if you keep progressing.
For brackets of 2: Gold/Silver medal match.
For brackets of 3: Round Robin with Gold, Silver & Bronze determined by match points/tiebreaker.
For brackets of 4: Semi final & final with consolation bronze medal match for those who lose their first.
For brackets of 5-8: There will be a quarter final(s), followed by semi final & final, as well as a consolation bracket.
For brackets of 9-16, there will be a Round of 16 (chosen at random) followed by a quarter final, semi final & a final. Those who lose at any point (first match, second match, semi final) will be put in a separate category & can still win a bronze medal.
